We're Back!!

Back from the Bahamas - glad to be home!! My Mom came and took good care of the children so that we could go to the Bahamas. The weather was nice during the day, but got a little chilly in the evening. We had a decent time. I'll say that the Bahamas is very expensive (at least where we were). I had a hard time enjoying myself because of how much everything cost. The first afternoon, I had a burger, fries and a coke - 25.00!! Needless to say, I didn't have dinner. lol That night I stayed in my room, read a book, watched tv and before I knew it, they were setting off fireworks that I was able to see from my balcony. The fireworks were awesome!! I forgot my Q-Tips and nail polish remover so I decided to stop in the store downstairs at the hotel....30 Q-Tips = 4.00 and a .69 bottle of Cutex Polish Remover = 7.00....I polished over. lol They add 15% gratuity to everything!! The hotel had 15% gratuity per day on every service imaginable whether you use it or not- pool and beach service, maid service, bellman service, pool usage fees (separate from the pool and beach service). Anyway, the beach was nice, the hotel was nice, Phil's friend Travis brought his wife, so we went sightseeing. I bought a couple of "designer inspired" bags and a few souvenirs. We went to a slavery museum which was sad and cool. I didn't get to do the slides, every time I got ready to, it was too chilly. I did visit the casino a couple of times and won some money (then gave it all back) playing craps. Phil and I had some free time one night so we went to the casino and then went dancing at a club in the hotel. It was nice to be a "wife" again. Anyway...enjoy the pics.

Ferry ride to Downtown Nassau

Downtown Nassau
A real life submarine!!

The hotel - the part that looks like a bridge is actually a suite that goes for 25000.00 a night...Michael Jackson owns it.

Used to be Club Mead

Taking pics of the hotel while on the ferry

They filmed a part from 007 here...never watched the movie.

Our overly animated self proclaimed "tour guide" from the ferry. Of course, he wanted a tip.

Pretty water

Just another part of the hotel - this housed restaurants and the library.

Pretty beach

I ran into Phil working. I was right there the entire wedding and he never knew. Talk about being in the zone!

Shops on the hotel island

Hangin' out

Dolphins - you too can join the dolphins for 30 minutes at 200.00 a pop
